Food Intolerance is NOT EMF Sensitivity

Fast-Food-Junk-Food-ThinkstockPhotos-859791694.jpgNote:  This article is long.

In September of 2014 I came to understand I developed EMF Sensitivity as a result of heavy metal and environmental poisoning I got because of living in the SF Bay Area.  I set out on an aggressive nutrition-based protocol to detoxify from the heavy metals and restore nutritional balance.  By June, 2015, I was free of EMF Sensitivity.

In October of that year I moved to a different part of the country.  Within three months I was dealing with a slew of odd health issues that did not appear to be related to EMF Sensitivity.  I can now say with complete confidence I was right.  The issue was completely different.

How It All Unraveled.  Beginning in the summer of 2015, I decided to focus on rebuilding nutritional stores that were seriously depleted as a result of the chemical toxicity.  To that end, I looked into foods that purported to be packed with vitamins and minerals.

Superfoods.

I also purchased a book on using foods to heal the immune system.

Within a short time of eating foods considered uber-healthy (superfoods) I began to develop food intolerances.

At no time did I experience a relapse of EMF Sensitivity.

I moved and continued with the healthy eating regimen.  I purchased another book about foods that heal the immune system and one on foods that are considered anti-inflammatory.  Within a short time of eating these healthy foods, my health began to seriously deteriorate.

Though I had no relapse of EMF Sensitivity!

A doctor gave me probiotics in an effort to improve my gut health.  Within days I had to quit taking them because of how sick I got from them.

Around this time we had out of town visitors which left us eating out more than normal.

Before then we’d been making homemade meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, from fresh ingredients that were often organic.

I quickly realized that I felt much better after eating restaurant food.

Which was sometimes greasy and often contained processed and/or non-organic ingredients.

We moved to a new part of the geography which allowed me to learn a great deal – in hindsight – about the effects of calcium and hard water on health and EMF Sensitivity in particular.  But it didn’t stop there.

I now realize that all those superfoods were directly responsible for my developing horrible food intolerances.

It got so bad I could barely eat anything at all.  I had to eliminate fresh fruits and vegetables, all bread and pasta, cheese and dairy.  Over time I had to eliminate salads.  I lost a LOT of weight.  Too much.

I came to see that if I drank alcohol with a meal I was able to eat more.

Alcohol is anti-inflammatory and also anti-histamine in nature.  It also helped my digestion.

Thus began my slow battle back to normalcy.  Thanks to the alcohol with dinner, I was able to eat a wider variety of foods and digest them. This meant I was absorbing more nutrients.  As my digestion improved I regained the ability to tolerate more foods which led to better digestion which led to more tolerance.

I continued to learn and now understand how everything deteriorated out of control.

I ate healthy “super” foods.

The introduction of superfoods changed my gut flora in a way that resulted in severe food intolerances and food allergies.

But no return of EMF Sensitivity!!!!

The worst culprits were fermented foods and foods considered anti-inflammatory.  Specifically

  • natural pickles
  • kefir
  • fermented butter
  • Brussels sprouts
  • cabbage

The changes caused me to develop intolerance to yams, acorn squash, potatoes, bananas, green beans, all legumes, all dairy, all butter, sourdough bread, beer, chicken, and turkey.

I never in my life had any food allergies or intolerances prior to the healthy eating.

Are you Kidding Me?  As I continued to eat healthy I developed an intolerance for all tea, as well as coffee.  I could no longer tolerate either red or white wine.

I could drink espresso, champagne, margaritas, and water.

Enough Already!  To fix the problem I quit eating all healthy foods and focused on eating pizza and restaurant food.

I also focused on rebuilding my severely depleted potassium stores through supplementation since I could tolerate no foods high in potassium thanks to an intolerance to sulphur.

I inched my way back to health and an ability to eat more foods.

By focusing on foods that are supposedly nutritionally empty (i.e. white bread).

So far so good.  About a week ago I decided to tackle the remaining intolerances in an unconventional way and while I’m in the middle of the protocol, I am seeing positive results after just four days.

I got the idea based on my experience approaching illness holistically.  A bit of research revealed others in other countries had had success with the methodology and though I didn’t copy their system exactly, I did draw from their reports when considering my approach.

I will be updating this site with the final results in about two weeks.

I’ll warn you, it’s a complicated protocol.  Imagine riding a teeter totter uphill and you got it.

Stay tuned…

Sulphur and Itching Skin

NOTE:  This article is long.

So, listening to Nigel Stanford and getting ready to finish up Book 12 in the Metatron’s Army series.

Yes, there will be a Book 13 but I can happily say that will be the last.  Metatron’s Legacy, which is finished, takes place 20 years after and is a single title release.

images-5To warm up the keyboard I thought I would post the latest discovery.  I have confirmed one cause of uncontrollable itching skin.

Specifically, the shins.

SF Bay Area Residents Take Note!  It is not a coincidence the individuals I have been in contact with who have inquired about the uncontrollable itching all live or lived in the SF Bay Area.

This is also the place where doctors cannot find a cause for the feeling of bugs crawling beneath the skin and have apparently told those suffering from it it’s all in their heads.  However, as I wrote in Calcium: The Old Man Mineral and Its Role in EMF Sensitivity, there’s a good chance it’s excess calcium and should be considered and investigated by having a hair mineral analysis.  I have reason to believe that women are more likely to suffer from this phenomenon if they have taken or are taking birth control pills.

Sulphur can be the cause of the horrendous itching.

Because the body has become allergic to it.

Testing was NOT Easy!!!!

In my situation, it was extremely difficult to determine what the heck was going on because the itching was short-lived and appeared to be caused by dairy.

I now understand why.  There is a “sick little relationship” between sulphur and calcium.

It was only after investigating other causal relationships with food that I was able to finally understand what the heck has been going on!  Thanks to all that healthy eating I was supposedly doing I developed an allergy to sulphur.

Fermented foods and those purported to be anti-inflammatory are – for someone who suffers from this particular intolerance – the absolute worst thing you could do for your health.

I have written about this previously.

Eating kefir, certain highly fermented cheeses, natural butter, probiotics, natural pickles, and other anti-inflammatory foods left me with an intolerance to Sulphur.

In other words an allergy that manifested as severe itching of lower legs and forearms and back of neck and some scalp.

This is exacerbated by drinking high-calc (hard) water.

The Sulphur intolerance will, if unchecked, get so bad you become intolerant to Sulphur foods, which make up a number of fruits and vegetables, as well as legumes.

In other words, healthy stuff.

The nightmare doesn’t stop there.  If you develop this intolerance, you will become sensitive to sulfites.  Sulfites are in almost all preservatives and dried foods.

Dried fruits, trail mixes.  You know, healthy stuff.

Red wine has varying degrees of sulfites so you will have trouble with some but not others.

The same of beer though champagne is not a problem, nor is tequila.

This intolerance is very easy to test for.  Simply go to the local health food store and pick up a tube of Boiron Sulphur.  It’s a homeopathic remedy.  Take 3 to 5 pellets and see if the horrendous itching starts.

If you are going to try this, have a tube of cortisol cream and/or Benadryl tablets at hand because you will suffer if you have this intolerance.

cd4c7e45a60b551c125ef5f61a3fafa8What to do if…  So let’s say your test was successful.  What do you do?  Well, you celebrate because now you know what is going on.  Does this mean you have to give up Sulphur foods forever?  Not necessarily but you do need to cut back on them in order to give your body a break.

Be aware that Sulphur causes the body to retain calcium so you should cut back on dairy as well if it appears there is a related intolerance.

You will likely have to switch from coffee to espresso.

Hey, at least you don’t have to give up caffeine!

You’ll need to play trial and error with foods and beverages while you get a handle on the situation.

I have found that the pinot noir varietal is the red I can best tolerate though champagne is hands down the best.  It helps the body digest food and get rid of excess calcium – and there are no problematic sulfites to worry about.

How the intolerance happens is fairly straight forward.  Thanks to sulfites being in about everything (it’s a preservative) we are inundated with Sulphur from a number of sources, whether you shop on the outer edges of the grocery store or in the middle aisles.

Because Sulphur causes the body to retain more calcium, if you are taking calcium supplements, consuming a lot of calcium rich foods, and drinking hard water, you are adding insult to a very nasty food intolerance injury.

There is hope!  It would be worthwhile making a list of foods you have trouble with and see if you don’t find a pattern.

It was how I identified the problem with Sulphur.

After eliminating the offending foods for a length of time, you can try to reintroduce them as “once in awhile” foods.

For more on this I suggest reading up on elimination and immune healing diets but beware – almost all of them tell you to eat anti-inflammatory foods which are the major source of the problem.  It was following this type of “healthy” eating that led to trouble for me.

The trick is to allow your body to heal by giving it a rest from this nutrient.  The inflammation will reduce and eventually disappear once you stop ingesting the foods and beverages that are causing it!

In this case – foods and beverages high in Sulphur and/or sulfites.

Not all dairy will be a problem.  I can have provolone cheese with no issue.  Soft cheeses and those high in vitamin K (again considered healthy) are the worst for me and may be for you.

Grains are a big time problem.  And those such as sourdough which are supposedly okay, are the worst offenders.

I suspect it’s because of the fermentation process involved in making it.

Pay attention to what you eat and drink and how your body reacts.  It takes some sleuthing but you can figure it out and once you know what you’re dealing with, you can put a strategy in place to fix the situation.

The most important step is to stop ingesting whatever is causing the problem.  It is the very first step and the most important.

Be well!

Now, back to book 12 – which doesn’t yet have a title though it’s almost finished.

Bind:  Book 9 in the series is available for pre-order and will be available February 1, 2019.

Potassium for Yellow Nails

10851915-two-celebration-champagne-glasses-and-confettiFor years I’ve known that one cause of yellow crumbling nails is excess calcium/low potassium and while I took a rather circuitous route to healing mine, I have just confirmed the overall protocol works for others.

For me, champagne played a huge role in reversing the damage.  Champagne does an excellent job helping the body deal with excess calcium.

The  individual who needed help does not drink alcohol, so champagne was out.  The individual also likes a lot of the foods I had already eliminated so that was out as well.

I did manage to convince them to cut back on grains and dairy even if they wouldn’t eliminate them.

My advice after seeing the nails was to use topical white iodine daily and take potassium supplements once in the morning and once in the evening.

I also suggested they use a file to periodically file the top layer that was peeling off.  This was to commence after it was evident the nail beneath and the nail growing out was healthy.

The nails had been yellow and crumbling and peeling.

To jump start the treatment I also suggested using baking soda in a foot bath daily for the first week or two.

Of all the treatments, the one that worked best was the potassium supplementation combined with the topical white iodine.  Progress was slow at first but after increasing the potassium dose to the degree we saw results, everything was fine.

Any individual would have to determine based on a bit of trial and error how much potassium to use.

Just as in my own situation, the nail reverted to normal.  It did not need to grow out normal.  It literally went back to normal as the protocol did its thing.

The filing was done once a week after it was evident the nail beneath the peeling layers and the nail growing out from the base were normal in color and texture.  The yellow disappeared over time.

The yellow got progressively lighter until it was gone and the nail color was normal again.  The texture reverted to normal in parallel.

Note:  If you take calcium supplements then you will probably not see any progress whatsoever.  Excess calcium pushes out potassium and throws electrolytes off balance, resulting in a host of health symptoms, including yellow crumbling and peeling nails.

At least in the cases I am aware of.

Remember – this does not necessarily take months for new healthy nail to grow out.  The nail reverts to normal as the protocol works its magic.

As the potassium levels are restored.

Peeling lips is another sign of excess calcium.  Foods and beverages high in sulphur and sulphites will cause the body to accumulate more calcium, exacerbating the problem.  Potassium supplements will help but only cutting back on problem foods and beverages will allow the body to get the upper hand on these conditions.

I suspect sulphur toxicity to be the root cause of many of the gastrointestinal conditions considered “incurable.”  People who have done elimination diets and healed their immune systems can attest to the benefits of a different way of considering what we think we know.

I suggest people with psoriasis consider investigating the role of excess sulphur, sulphites, and excess calcium in their symptoms.  While hair mineral analysis is a good test, cutting back on and/or eliminating foods high in these nutrients can reveal much.

This protocol also works for teeth.  Yellow teeth are a sign of excess calcium.

Especially a yellow eye tooth.  I’ve seen many women who have a yellow eye tooth and women are more likely to take calcium supplements.

A final thought.  While this does work, it’s good to note that patience is the key because there is a heck of a lot of trial and error though in the above case the only slow down was determining the amount of potassium they needed to take to see results.

Be well!
