The Bigger Picture of Healing

nikon-p1000-mainI was laying in bed last night and for whatever reason, my Catholic Confirmation came to mind.

As I mention in After Here: The Celestial Plane and What Happens When We Die, I went through it under severe duress.

The guy who rubbed oil on my head – the subject of a movie, ironically – told me to go forward as a soldier of Christ.  Though I never thought about it at the time…

As far as I know, Jesus never amassed an army.

Wasn’t he about peace?

The highest irony – to me – was that I had to interview – with a nun – to determine whether or not I was worthy of being confirmed. a Catholic.

Was I worthy?  According to who?  Her or God?

Third generation Catholic, I’d gone through 7 solid years of Catholic school plus 2/3 of a year of Catholic Catechism.

Catholic speak for lessons for public school heathens

The nun at St. Fabien decided that because I’d spent four months in the Florida public school system, followed by three months in the Birmingham [Michigan] school system, I’d been ruined by the heathens and wasn’t worthy of the sacrament.

She wanted me to have another year of Catholic instruction.  As someone who’d died and talked with God during an NDE – I wasn’t game.

I walked out on her –  told my entire family where they could stick the whole process.

It’s just one of the many ironies I observe …

I don’t think Jesus amassed an army.  Unless I’m misreading the New Testament.

What does this have to do with EMF Conductor?  It’s about holistic healing and the consideration of the whole in healing.

And the benefit of looking the ludicrous and the stupid full in the face and going forward …

To health…

Variability Vs. Repeatability: The Challenge of Diagnosing EMF Sensitivity

unnamed
In reading an article about RF interference, I was reminded of the parallels between networking hardware and humans.

Humans are electrical beings.  We are all transmitting and receiving signals twenty-four hours a day. Our brains, an electrical organ, along with the nervous system – another one – process the signals and carry out any necessary actions as a result.

When I read a particular paragraph, I was reminded of the difficulty involved with diagnosing EMF Sensitivity.

This difficulty tends to leave researchers frustrated to the extent they dismiss the symptoms as psychosomatic.  In other words, the subjects are told there is no such thing as EMF Sensitivity though I think that sentiment is going out of fashion as more information about the legitimacy of this condition becomes available.

From the article:

  • What RF levels will impact equipment operations?
This is truly a case-by-case issue. There are no set regulations defining a single RF level that will cause RF interference. Among other things, it depends on the sensitivity of the equipment under consideration, or how low an interfering signal can be in the presence of the equipment and cause problems. Also, equipment can be particularly sensitive to very low signal levels of one frequency and yet quite immune to high signal levels of another frequency—so frequency is an important factor. Some electronic system components are internally shielded and have a very high immunity to interference. But generally, most equipment has not been so engineered.

I disagree with the last line where it applies to humans. Our immune systems are definitely designed to handle EMFs from a variety of sources.  When the immune system has been compromised because the body doesn’t have the nutrients necessary to make the enzymes and hormones that power this intricate system, then it is unable to shield effectively.

This paragraph beautifully illustrates the difficulty in diagnosing EMF Sensitivity.  Different people can and do react differently – different symptoms – to different frequencies.

No two EMF Sensitives will necessarily react the same way.

I once saw a video in which a British man was talking about how he and others who were EMF Sensitive had been participating in a laboratory study in which they were blasted with different electromagnetic frequencies. He expressed frustration at the fact the different members of the group responding differently to different frequencies and sometimes not being affected at all convinced researchers there was nothing scientifically measurable going on.

EMF Sensitivity is an environmental condition.

Though if you repair the internal environment, the external one has less – if any – negative impact.

EMF Sensitivity is caused by heavy metal toxicity induced mineral imbalance.  Fix that and the sensitivity – and its associated symptoms – vanish.

It’s a highly individualized condition.  This is why really digging into when any symptoms started and what environmental conditions – internal as well as external – changed is critical in mapping out a strategy to deal with it.

Keep a journal!!!!!

The scientific method so accepted for research may not be enough in this situation.

Variability and not repeatability needs to be prioritized.

Variability in the Treatment as Well.  Not all remedies work for all individuals.

It depends on what is going on with any one individual.

Not even the fact that mineral imbalance is at the root of the problem erases the need to accept variability.

Yes, detoxing heavy metals and other toxins is key, as is rebalancing the minerals.  The variability lies in the methods of detox and rebalancing, which will vary depending on what toxins are involved and what minerals need rebalancing.

Constant Change.  Just  to make this super fun – the body’s chemistry changes throughout the detoxification and rebalancing process, so changing the protocol as necessary – tweaking it – is critical.

No matter how often.

I write about this in my books.  An example would be how food intolerances can appear and disappear as the rebalancing ensues and continues.

All these variables necessitate that the patient be truly involved – I would go so far as to say needs to own responsibility for – their recovery.  A doctor can guide.  A doctor can suggest.  A doctor can run tests to illustrate progress.  Only the patient can tell if something changed prior to a doctor visit or test result.

It’s a myth that something is working because you feel worse before you feel better.  Sometimes, yes, but not nearly as often as you might think.

The best way to approach dealing with EMF Sensitivity when you are not a health expert is to accept that you are an expert – in YOU.

I believe a doctor and/or health care provider is a consultant. He or she is not a parent and does not and should not have the final say.

You are an expert in YOU!

Healing Holistically Is Like Organizing Your House

I once had someone tell me, “I can’t move.  I have too much stuff.”

He and his wife had lived in their home for decades.

It reminds me of people who say, “I can’t go the natural way.  My doctor says I have to be on the medication for the rest of my life.

Yes, some people truly do need to take certain medications for the rest of their lives but for many, there are natural and holistic alternatives.

19 years ago, I had a doctor say that to me about thyroid medication.  I laughed and said, “You work on the thyroid, I’ll work on curing the underlying problem and get off of it.”  I was off the stuff within four months and have never needed it since.

I went to a woman at a health food place who regularly consulted with a holistic doctor. She had one of the machines that Dr. Clark refers to in her book The Cure for All Diseases.  She diagnosed me with low adrenal function, put me on a regimen of adrenal bovine and other natural therapies and voila!

That was small beans compared to what I had to do to cure myself of EMF Sensitivity and Rheumatic Arthritis.

Same exact root cause and same exact steps to cure both.

A Monumental Shift.  Choosing to address health problems naturally and holistically is the equivalent of cleaning out and organizing your home.

First, and most importantly, you have to decide to do it.

You need to start out small or you’ll end up overwhelmed.  In the case of the house, let’s say you start with a kitchen drawer. Then you might finish all the drawers. Then you take on the cupboards.

Once one room is finished, you can tackle the next, and the next.  Afterward, you have some choices to make.

The choice people all too often make is the most harmful.  “Oh my god, it all looks so bare!  What am I going to do with all this space?  I need to hurry and get more stuff to put in here!”

In other words, you go back to old habits that got you into trouble in the first place.

If you are not great at staying motivated or knowing what to do, I suggest you hire a professional.

Just like with organizing your home.

Choices Choices.  You could repaint the place, upgrade a few things, or perhaps decide to move in order to downsize.

This would fall into the simplify your life category.

You might decide you don’t need some of the stuff in your house.

This might be realizing you have some toxic situations in your life which could include a job and/or people and/or other situations. By the way, this likely played into how you ended up sick in the first place.  The stuff just sort of piles up over time and the next thing you know – trouble.

The Only Way Out Is Through.  There is no holistic quick fix.

There isn’t one with the pharmaceutical/surgical approach either.

Taking pills to mask symptoms is like shutting the door to a room or closet filled with junk.

The underlying problem doesn’t go away just because you can’t see it.

Going the holistic way is a commitment to yourself; one I think is worthwhile.

But it is not for everyone.  You truly have to buy into the philosophy of it.

You have to be willing to do the work.

The rewards are many!

Be well!

I was never a patient of Dr. Rosella.  He helped me heal indirectly.

As far as I am aware, Marty and her wonderful machine have long since moved on.

Temple of Health Radio Talk Show

decoration-spa-bamboo-green-stonesIt is my pleasure to announce that I will be talking with Dr. Susan Kolb on her Temple of Health Radio Show this Saturday, January 20, beginning at noon EST.

We will be discussing EMF Sensitivity and my book Riding the Waves: Diagnosing, Treating, and Living with EMF Sensitivity.

Dr. Kolb, MD, FACS has years of experience treating patients holistically.  Her show brings a perfect balance of viewpoints highlighting not only the role of body, mind, and spirit in health, but also the importance of each.

For people who are not familiar with Dr. Kolb’s show, I encourage you to visit her site and listen to earlier shows.  Dr. Kolb and her guests bring a wealth of information that is invaluable for those seeking good health.

I found myself nodding repeatedly when listening to many of her guests speak of the complex interrelated factors that are at the root of disease.

In addition to my book Riding the Waves, I recently released Calcium: The Old Man Mineral and its Role in EMF Sensitivity.
